The B+W 82mm Kaesemann High Transmission Circular Polarizer MRC Filter is constructed from Schott glass, and it helps reduce reflections and glares. It does not allow polarized light to fall upon the lens and produces an increase in saturation and color tonality. The filter has Kaesemann foils that provide 99.5% light transmission, and they are placed between plano-parallel, optical glass surfaces. Each glass surface has multiple layers of anti-reflective coating to eliminate internal ghosting. The 82mm threads are made from brass so that it does not bind to the aluminum housing of the lens. This increases the durability of the filter and also prevents jamming.
