Mike Grippi is a photographic professional based in Brooklyn, NY. Through his 12 year career, Mike has PA’d, assisted, tech-ed, retouched, and shot for dozens of photographers and clients across the US.

In this conversation, Mike will cover topics outside of buttons and dials -- how a photographers relationship to gear evolves, how your attitude can shape your career, the importance of not just networking but maintaining relationships and building community within your industry, and the many, many mistakes made along the way and how he learned from them.

Technical questions will surely arise, and anything Mike can't answer himself will be handled by Rich Myers, our featured guest caller.

MIKE GRIPPI: I am a photographer based in New York City. A life long fascination with light and a genuine curiosity for people and their passions came together when I first picked up a camera almost 12 years ago. Since then I’ve traded coasts, eaten some decent meals, worked with some incredible humans and made pictures all along the way.

Some clients I’ve had the pleasure of working with include Airbnb, Resy, Sprint, Rejuvenation Hardware, Adidas, Reebok, WeWork, Vayner Media, Science Magazine, and more.
