Overview

The Zeiss Otus 85mm f/1.4 Apo Planar T* ZF.2 Lens produces vibrant color details in the captured images. It can be used with Nikon F-mount cameras. Its optical design comprises one aspherical element and six anomalous partial-dispersion glass elements. In all, the optical construction of the lens includes 11 elements arranged in 9 groups. Each element has a Carl Zeiss T* anti-reflective coating to improve light transmission. The apochromatic design of the lens reduces chromatic and spherical aberrations. While focusing manually, the rubberized ring offers accuracy and maintains clarity, even from a close focus distance of 80 cm. The nine-blade diaphragm of the lens creates smooth, rounded bokeh in the image background. Thanks the internal-focusing mechanism, this lens can be used with 86mm filters. The all-metal barrel of the lens offers good impact resistance.
