Incorporated with four aspherical lenses, the Leica DG Nocticron 42.5 mm F/1.2 is renowned for its durability and efficiency. Additionally, it even flaunts a contrast AF system support, a circular aperture diaphragm, and a durable metal mount. Another brilliant feature is its multiple coated lens element that aids in negating unwanted ghost and flare effects. It comes with a highly effectual dust and moisture sealed metal mount and body, which ensure that the lens is protected at all times from adverse weather conditions and other external factors. The glass is made from an Ultra ED (UED) design for radically decreasing any kind of chromatic aberration. Great Lens, Bad shade

Great lens.. NO! Fantastic lens! However the shade being metal is plain AWFUL, particularly when you have new age plastics that will absorb shock and are more resilient. The metal transmits damage when placing down or accidentally hitting a wall or door frame. Furthermore, the lack of bayonet mount, wobble and glue sweat is awful. A good shade target for engineers is the m.Zuiko 12-40mm f/2.8 pro - bayonet, metal squeeze latch 'a la' Leica 35mm Summicron, and plastic front (ideally Nylon).

I am a wedding photographer by profession, and I could not have asked for a lens more perfect. Weddings are usually busy events, and this lens' image stabilization feature just makes my life so much easier. It just does away with even the minutest of shakes. That fine detail that needs to be captured in wedding pictures? This one does just that.

A great 85mm equivalent lens for a 35mm camera. This medium telephoto lens is one of my newer purchases, and so far I am thoroughly impressed. There's absolutely no color bleeding anywhere. It's quite dynamic with forms of use as well. I tend to use my lenses a little too roughly; so far this lens has passed every test.

Best quality in image formation plus it has got good corner formation. The focal ratio delivers very shallow depth of field with nice bokeh. I don't have the firmest of hands, so the image stabilization feature is quite useful for me. It is also decently built- not too heavy. A little steep on price, in my opinion, but totally worth it.

I have had it for a short time but so far I am extremely impressed with its performance. I use it on my GH3 for video, and I find that it does a fantastic job of focusing for me. This is the sharpest MFT lens I own now. I really want Leica and Panasonic to make some wider lenses that work as well as this. Its quality overrides everything so much that I don't even mind that it's a little heavy.
